Who we are

PodLever is a podcast content automation tool operated by Russell Nomer Consulting (“we”, “us”, or “our”). This policy describes what personal data we collect, why we collect it, how long we keep it, and how you can request deletion.

If you have any questions, contact us at hello@podlever.com.

What data we collect

We collect only what we need:

  • Email address When you join the early-access waitlist.
  • Submission timestamp Recorded automatically when you submit the waitlist form.
  • Source identifier Which page or button you used to join (e.g. landing page hero, pricing page). This is an internal label, not a tracking pixel or cookie.
  • Account information If you sign in, we receive your user ID, username, and email address from Replit (our sign-in provider). We do not receive or store your password.
  • Uploaded content Audio and video files you upload for processing, plus everything we generate from them: transcripts, show notes, social posts, cleaned audio, and other assets. This content may include the voices and statements of you and your guests.
  • Usage records Episode counts, processing outcomes, and plan usage — used to enforce plan limits and operate the service.
  • Payment information If you subscribe, payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your card number — we keep only your Stripe customer reference, plan, and subscription status.

We do not use third-party analytics cookies, advertising trackers, or fingerprinting anywhere on the site.

Why we collect it

Waitlist emails are used for one purpose only: to notify you about early access and launches. Account, content, usage, and payment data are used solely to provide the service — processing your episodes, generating your assets, enforcing plan limits, and billing. We will not use your data for unrelated marketing, sell it to third parties, or share it with advertisers.

Your content is never used to train AI models. Audio is transcribed and assets are generated via the OpenAI API, whose business terms exclude API data from model training.

Legal basis for processing (GDPR)

If you are located in the European Economic Area or United Kingdom, we process your email address on the basis of consent (GDPR Art. 6(1)(a)). You provide consent by submitting the waitlist form. You may withdraw consent at any time by requesting deletion (see below).

How we store your data

Application data (waitlist, accounts, transcripts, generated text) is stored in a Replit-managed PostgreSQL database. Uploaded audio/video files and generated media are stored in a private Google Cloud Storage bucket — objects are never publicly readable and are served only through short-lived signed links issued to your session. All infrastructure is located in the United States. Data is encrypted at rest and in transit. Access is restricted to the application and the owner (Russell Nomer).

How long we keep it

  • Waitlist emails — until you request deletion, create a full account (which supersedes the waitlist record), or we determine we will not launch.
  • Uploaded content and generated assets — kept while your account is active so you can re-download them. You can request deletion of any episode or your entire library at any time.
  • Account and billing records — kept for the life of your account, then only as long as tax and accounting law requires.
  • Temporary processing copies — audio passed to our processing pipeline exists only for the duration of the job.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you.
  • Correct inaccurate data.
  • Request deletion of your data (“right to be forgotten” under GDPR; “right to delete” under CCPA).
  • Withdraw consent at any time without affecting prior processing.

To exercise any of these rights, email hello@podlever.com with the subject line “Data request” and include the email address you used to join the waitlist. We will respond within 30 days.

Third-party services

We do not sell or share your personal data. The following subprocessors handle data on our behalf, each under their own privacy terms:

  • Replit, Inc. — Application hosting, database, and sign-in (authentication). See Replit's Privacy Policy.
  • Google Cloud (Google LLC) — Private object storage for uploaded and generated media files.
  • OpenAI, L.L.C. — Transcription and content generation via API. API inputs and outputs are not used to train OpenAI models.
  • Stripe, Inc. — Payment processing. Card details go directly to Stripe and never touch our servers.

We will update this list before adding any new subprocessor that handles your content.

If something goes wrong

If we discover a data breach that affects your personal data or your uploaded content, we will notify affected users by email without undue delay — and within any timeline required by applicable law (72 hours to supervisory authorities under GDPR where it applies) — including what happened, what data was involved, and what we are doing about it.

Changes to this policy

If we make material changes to this policy, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. For significant changes, we may also notify waitlist members by email before the changes take effect.
